Founded in 2015 by Fredrik Hildebrand, Lux Beata centers around the viol in its different sizes and combinations, from the pure viol consort in three to six parts, to instrumental ensembles combining it with violins, wind instruments, keyboards, lutes, harps and voices. The different vocal and instrumental constellations are endless, and only the need for coherency in on-stage performance dictates our instruments and repertoire.

The combination of ancient, traditional and contemporary music is of great importance to us. It opens up new possibilities in emotions and expressions during a program, and creates new shades, colors and dynamics for the audience to be pulled into.
